Barefoot Sandals, Jewelry and Camping!

Hey!

I have been getting ready for the summer season by making some barefoot sandals. Currently I only offer basic macrame beaded barefoot sandals, but I am looking into making crochet versions. I have made a couple pairs and put them up for sale in my Etsy shop, and I am currently working on a great neon pair using variegated hemp that gives the tie-dye feel. They are perfect for the music festival season, and I am excited to now offer them!
I was camping this past weekend at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park, which is pretty big for my demographic. I was able to handout a ton of flyers and even made a few sales. I am looking forward to going back and vending next time! This time I had just gone for some relaxation and promoting my work. There was an event going on which made it perfect to meet lots of great people and talk with some other vendors and I really feel that it would be the perfect place for my handmade jewelry and accessories. :)

I may throw up a few photos from the trip in a later post, but for now I would like to show off a couple pairs of the barefoot sandals I have put up for sale, which you can find in my shop, here.

I love the way this pair turned out. I used some fantastic resin rose beads and natural hemp.

This pair I used brown hemp with sunflower buttons and for the wrap strings I just through in a few knots to give it a little something. I absolutely love the way these turned out!

I think they both turned out fairly well, but I am eager to learn how to crochet as well so I can have a variety of styles :)

What style of barefoot sandals do you prefer, macrame or crochet?

Cheers!
